    The Spirit

Spirit away from this one folks...

The Spirit Movie Reviews, Pictures - Rotten Tomatoes

See, I already don't like that poster...MY CITY SCREAMS...nothing but pompous and pretentious gooey crap.

Sin City and 300 were not bad...but IMO not great either....the constant narration in both films, plus all that blue screen...gets rather annoying after a while.

Please Mr Miller (in his directorial debut)...your stories are cool...but stay away from directing, lol.

Right now it looks like this movie opened FIFTH behind "Marley and Me", "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" , "Bedtime Stories", and "Valkyrie". What a sorry performance for Will Eisner's great character...but to be expected from the hack job Miller did on said character.

I think Obviously the problem with the Movie is,.. is the fact from written here,.. that the Die Hard Comicbook geeks are not racing out to see it because of how they did it..

.. Bad reviews don't help either,.. I don't know why Hollywood likes to put so many movies out there on X-mas day,.. I have only ever scene a flick once on X-mas,.. & that was a Horrible movie too. lol.

Exactly....let's face it, "The Spirit" is not necessarily a household name like Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, The Hulk...heck even Iron Man or Hellboy have more name recognition than The Spirit. So when you open a movie, especially on Christmas Day against 5 others flicks, you need all the "die hard comicbook geek" fanboys you can get to help your cause. If you ain't got them in your corner, you can probably kiss all your box-office receipts goodbye.

Actually, I guess this movie debuted at NUMBER NINE for the Christmas weekend! That's pathetic.

You Guys are giving this Movie More time than People going to the Theaters.

BTW,.. How the Hell does an Owen Willson Movie get the Top spot ? Movies must be bad ingeneral right now.

                        7 Pounds of what ? Dope ?

Doubt ? Obviously I doubt that Movie will do better than the Spirit .

& The Tales of Despereaux ? I am not even sure I can say that .. I haven't even heard of any of this Crap before.
