Without sounding ungrateful, what was the wost gift you ever received?
Mine was actually the same gift twice, about five years apart, from two different people.
About 20 years ago, I was working at a restaurant and we drew names for gift exchange. The gifts were around $25 and I draw a waitress. She told me she liked Victoria Secret's. I get her a nice gift card, some VS smelly stuff, and a catalog (you had to buy them back then). I put some thought into it, went to the mall, etc. The person who drew my name (another waitress) gave me two 12-packs of can beer (not even the good stuff, just Bud or something). I am not really a beer drinker except an occasional draft or mini-brewery/ european beer. I was just a little disappointed in a gift that was picked up on the way to the party (it wasn't even wrapped
)
About five years later, I was working at another restaurant, and guess what I got, the exact same thing the exact same way, unwrapped crappy canned beer!!!
Just because I am a big guy, it doesn't mean I drink beer!!!
I have received beer as a gift that I did love. It was "Beers of the World" and "Micro-Breweries of America". They were great beers, gift wrapped, etc.
