Anyone already tired of Eddie Murphy playing multiple roles in his movies?

    The latest...

Once again, Murphy in multiple roles.

I think he started doing it in Coming to America, then the Nutty Professor, then Dr Doolittle, then Norbit...now this one.

    Enough already!

I think Eddie should do Justice League/Superfriends personally. All the characters. From Wonder Woman to Superman to the Atom and Ralph Dibny and Batman and Robin. Heck, I think he should even be Zan, Jayna, Gleek, Marvin, Wendy and Wonder Dog.

Maybe he should do a play next.
          With ten characters.
          All by himself.

Just what I was thinking....they should launch him, Jim Carrey, Mike Myers and Will Farrell in a rocket to the moon.

funny, I was going to say the same thing. He has not had a funny movie in a long time, with the possible exception of the Shrek movies, which is an ensamble thing. I hear he is going to do another Beverly Hills Cop movie now. Just what the world needs, more Axle Foley.

He probably can't get anyone else to co-star with him.

Just thinking about him last night on my way home from work.. I can clearly remember him peaking out at 'Raw'.. No one liked hearing all his vulgarity.

After that with 'Golden Child' and all the BH Cop sequels, his appeal plumetted quickly.

Don't like Murphy's multiple roles in one movie?

Okay---I'm not that impressed overall either.

NORBIT is possibly one of the biggest wastes of time for
anybody involved EVER made in cinema---but then again, so was PLUTO NASH
and there were no multiple roles in THAT one.

I have one thing to make ABUNDANTLY CLEAR in this thread though.

EDDIE MURPHY is STILL okay when he's given good material to work with.

PLEASE---if you haven't seen the movie BOWFINGER (also starring--and
written by STEVE MARTIN and directed by FRANK OZ) please GIVE it
                      a chance and see it.

You can take it out on me if you don't like it.

MURPHY plays two roles in BOWFINGER and is simply BRILLIANT.

When Murphy was first in movies, I don't think there's been many people more charasmatic than him, but after Beverly Hills Cop, something changed. He made some good movies after that, but he never had the same energy again. His best work has been his vocal work in the Shrek movies. He lets the old Eddie out.

A hideous creature of enormous size and alien power, it waits for it's time to return patiently. For it has all the time in the world while it waits for the stars.

                            Hey man---I'm embarassed.

I hated it so much I never saw the whole thing -----

if there WAS a dual role in there ---I missed it.

Jerry Lewis is getting up there and won't be around much longer. Someone needs to take over for him.
