      I love stuff like that.

      But...

I'd have to have a LOT of money to not feel guilty spending
that amount on a movie prop.

But, yeah, if that's the thing Ben handed to Luke in the first scene we EVER
      saw a lightsaber----that's some historical...ahem..."stuff" right there.

Seems a fair price when compared to other highly sought collectibles.

I would love to have it but if the auction got over $240.00 I would have a hard time justifying it in my families budget.

Do you mean that first scene right before Obi Wan Lied to Luke?

Yeah for a Quarter of a million it had better be a real Light Saber.
Lo there do I see my Father.
Lo there do I see my Mother and my Sisters and my Brothers.
Lo there do I see the line of my people back to the begining.
          Lo they do call me.
They bid me take my place among them.

Okay here's what I was implying when I said what I said:

"But, yeah, if that's the thing Ben handed to Luke in the first scene we EVER
            saw a lightsaber..."

Many times in a movie, there's multiple props used for the same item
            for whatever reason.

Or there's back-up props made that don't get used at all.

So, the question is "What scene was it in?"

If it was only used in a scene where Luke was sitting around in
the Falcon and it was on the table or something---well, it's not as
cool as being the prop he used in the "Ben saber intro" scene
(mentioned above) or the "saber training" scene.

Yeah well---it is one of the biggest flicks of all-time after all.

                    Amazing how that affects price.

                    A baseball outfit?

                    Cost: $150 (???)

...if it was worn by Babe Ruth????

                    Who knows?

In 3-5 years the technology will have been perfected enough that I will be carving my Thanksgiving turkey with a light saber.

the saber prop I'd like to get my hands on if I had tons of cash would be Ben Kenobi's from the first movie ... flash unit rifle grenade Rolls Royce part ... and a sink knob.

That saber would have to be from ESB ... the ones that were used in Star Wars had the LED lights from a calculator use on them.

I'd rather buy a rare 70s muscle car for that price (if I had the cash to burn).

Have to admit, brings back memories.
Seeing a light saber ignite for the first time...
