    Beatle fans!

My band Fatal Agenda can't get the licensing rights to release this on our new CD. So far there is no good news on it but we can stick our version of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" on Youtube like a million other bands do doing covers.

It might be too heavy for the normal music listener on here but I know there are some Beatle fans/friends on here that will appreciate our attempt.

    I think it's GREAT !!!!!!!

One little tiny bit of criticism....
I don't care for the echoing vocals ..
Vocals are fine ... it's the just echo effect
    It's a bit distracting

    Other then that, FANTASTIC !!!

No! I agree with you. The studio engineers thought it would be a cool dreamy psychedelic type sound that would add to my vocals. I think they are way too much but the others talked me into it. I am going to go in tomorrow and do a version without it to see if it sounds better. They put the same effect on me awhile ago when I recorded John Lennon's Working Class Hero. It worked for that but I don't think it necessarily works on all type of Beatle songs.

Thanks for the quick input. Strange I would find good opinions here but I knew there are some Beatle fans on here that might have advice or thoughts.

      Thanks!

I though it sounded really good. I have to say I was not expecting to like it.
I very rarely like covers of the Beatles. Great job.

Not too bad but sorry Cat I love George's vocals. I do think you guys do a very nice rendition of the song. Ya know, I think your voice would suit Come Together better.

Never said I wanted to be George Harrison. Actually, the guitar player through it at me a week ago. I have always wanted to collaborate on a Beatles song with the band and it took finding a new guy that was into the Beatles to actually want to do a Beatles song. You are right though, I would prefer to do something of John Lennons. Perhaps we will in due time after the album is completed in March of 2009. All these studio engineers and new inputs are kind of fun and sometimes distracting at the same time when you just want to go and get down the music and be done with it.
They can turn a 3 minute song into a four day recording session.

Sorry Cat, no offense meant my friend. You have a more raspy voice like Lennon. I actually like your sound.

No offense taken. I know you by now to know what you mean.

Sometimes when you are in a group with a bunch of guys. You get outvoted and you record with what the majority wants. I think in a way, we gave it our own spin. I am happy with the outcome and I agree vocally it isn't like the original but in a good way.
