Dog People name your DOG :)

I figured There must b other dog people here.
Recently my wifes sister talked us into takeing a dog in for my little girl.
did'nt want it. My wife likes animals but hates them in the house.
I did'nt want it because it was a small dog. It was Pomeranian.
At first thought ,oh my God! Is that a dog?
She tells me that he had been passed around 2 times now and this is it or he goes to the shelter.
The shelter would mean death Im almost sure.
The dog was 7 months old more work than someone wanted and Poor old Buddy was done with a short run of 7 months.
So I figured man o man. What a bummer. So we took him in.
What a great dog. After haveing him around I found that these dogs are really smart and most entertaining.
Easy to train and a great little friend. He almost never barks, friendly and great with kids.
I can honestly see why like people them.
I named him Buddy the dog and he is now the shop mascott..lol
Any hoo wanted to see what kind of dogs people around here had.

Have a shi tzu full breed named Guido. He recently had aquired some injury to his eye in the process of moving when he got into a fight with a stray dog. Has been tempermental ever since but cant imagine life without him. Greets me every time I get up in the morning and in the afternoons when I get home from work.

Butters, Buddy, peanut, roo, roobaby, "P" and (yes he promptly answers to all of those.)Dalmation/Blue Heeler - He's the Clown, ambassador with guests, and spokesperson for the gang.

In 96 my fiancé wanted a small dog when we got married.

i put my foot down - no small dog.

she found a would be large dog puppy and told me it was living with me (we would be getting married less than a year later).

11 years later - the Giagantic dog is still here.

i don't understand why she wouldn't just get a small dog.

            Here name is Gennevieve (jenny)

My Jack Russell is named Spiff, after the Calvin and Hobbes cartoon ("Spaceman Spiff").
My German Shepherd/Border Collie mixed breed is called Hobbes, for the obvious reason.

Some little dogs can have plenty of personality. Spiff thinks he's huge, and doesn't hold back when faced with a big dog. He just goes for the throat and goes into "berserker mode". He hates it that big dogs come and tower over him.

Hobbes is big, but very gentle. She just loves everyone. All she wants is to play.

Both are rescue dogs. To save a dog's life means getting unconditional love forever.

When you get a small dog, give him an impressive name, like Destroyer, Brute or Hulk.
When you get a big dog, give him a cute name, like Mimi, Tiny or Fuzzy.

This way you can confuse the hell out of people, especially burglars....
                "Destroyer! Annihilate!"
This will send any wrongdoers running for the hills......

My wife and I have a cocker spaniel named Henry. Two weeks after we got married in '95, we went out looking for a lamp for the study and came back with a dog.
                              It's all good!
