    RIP Van Johnson

Some of you are no doubt wondering who Van Johnson is. Well, he was a pretty popular actor in movies from the 40's-60's. Probably some would remember him as Lt. Maryk in The Caine Mutiny. As a lover of old movies I always liked him but believed him to have died a while ago. But no, he was alive, until now.

Not yet, but I will one day. Finding the correct head is the hardest part of customizing the Batman show

              The Minstrel's Swan Song

Type1kirk: That was exactly what I thought when I first heard the news - another Bat-villain gone! Then I remembered him from The Caine Mutiny and as the straight man in that Gene Kelly musical Brigadoon. He had Batman and Robin roasting over a fire on the spit right?

It sure would be nice if the rights were cleared up and straightened out so that that show would be on DVD!

I didn't know this until watching TCM last night, and they ran a neat bit remembering all the Hollywood types that passed on this year. Johnson was there. They also had Forry Ackerman and Jerry Reed! And of course Heston and Newman.
