My Toys R US Rant

So I went to Toysrus.com last week and low and behold they have the DC Universe Classics Ronnie Raymond Firestorm in stock so I ordered it and I also saw they had the GL, Black Canary, & Green Arrow 3 pack of Infinite Heroes so I ordered that as well. What shows up today is a 3 pack with Hawkman and the Jason Rusch version of Firestorm. I can live with the Firestorm mix up, but there is a big difference in packaging between 3 guys with wings and a package with 1 chick and 2 guys dressed in green. Of course they are both out of stock now and I get nice refund with free shipping if they ever come back in stock, but now I have to scramble to find something else.

Toysrus.com is the worst run online store I have ever ordered from. They are absolutely terrible.

we stopped shopping there a few years back, they never had anything in stock at the stores and they were really ran down...im sure that they arent far behind either..

I remember last yr when I ordered from Hasbro.com

.. I ordered like 150 bucks worth of Transformers & Star Wars for the Boy.. Shipping was like another 20 Bucks,.. but they had stuff I could never find in retail, so I ordered. 2 weeks Later a Box arrives at my house from them. The Box was a little bit bigger than a Flipp'in Pack of Smokes. I was like WT-F ??? I knew nothing I ordered could possibly fit in the Box.. Well I opened the Box,.. & a Pack of 5 Nerf Sticky Darts was in this Box. :meh: ... To top it off,.. on the invoice My name & Info was on it, with the 5 pack of Darts , & the Price for the Darts was 170.00 bucks !!!!

Man,.. it took me like 2&1/2 Hrs to straighten that Mess out,.. & before they sent me My stuff, they wanted thier Darts Back.?. I checked the price of the Darts on thier sight,.. & they were 3.99 ... You would think they would let me keep them considering the Price for the Phone call.

I don't see Toys R Us going anywhere soon...

They're not as expensive as KB was/is, and they carry bikes, battery operated vehicles, kids playhouses, etc. which KB never carried (at least not here). Plus they've branched off into Kids R Us (sp?), so their being diverse will also help keep them going...

Oh man I have heard some nightmares about Toysrus.com from star wars collectors ... No way would I order from them online

sadly from what I was told by a freind who workes at a TRU there will be more stores shutting down in the next year ... even if they have a good year this year ... they are still having issues ... and with the way things are looking this year isn't going to be too good to them.

They're not as expensive as KB was/is, and they carry bikes, battery operated vehicles, kids playhouses, etc. which KB never carried (at least not here). Plus they've branched off into Kids R Us (sp?), so their being diverse will also help keep them going...

Walmart and Target are ahead of TRU in sales, so a demise of them can't be too far off. The local one is never busy and is never stocked with the newest stuff that usually turns up first at the two biggies first.
