A Tornado Nearly Touched Down Right Behind my Store!!

I watched this funnel cloud go over my store.. then it started forming about 150 yards behind my building.

It was WILD!!! I've never seen a tornado in person. It was like walking up on lion in the wild or something. I stood walking distance from this thing and watched it form. I was actually disappointed when it never touched the ground. After 3 minutes, the rotation stopped and the cloud moved away.

Someone in a nearby restaurant took grainy video of the tornado with their cell phone and it made the news. Set off tornado sirens all over town.

The intensity of the storms down here is just amazing. You can really see Global Warming taking effect.

You wouldn't have been if it had touched the ground and destroyed your store and everything else.
You got the watch a tornado form without getting hurt and without it causing damage... count your blessings

Seeing a funnel cloud int eh sky is pretty awesome. When I lived in Alabama, I saw a few in the sky. So much power up there really make a awesome display.

                  Glad it didn't touch down
