With the economy the way it is, I guess I should feel lucky to have one, but both my wife and I are working 2 jobs just to make ends meet. Anyone else in the community feeling the same? I know you do what you need to do for your family, but I'm dog-tired after one job, let alone when I finish the second one (plus I rarely get to see the kids or wife while their awake).

I stopped working two jobs last year....It was just two much.

not me,I got some of my personal training going on and ebay.But the wife is,she works full time at one hospital and part time at another"Time to nut up or shut up"

Not yet, but if you think I ain't working to set it up, well....
Things are okay right now, but with two parents retired (and counting on the stock market to maintain), I want to make sure I can keep all of us going, so I'm looking to freelance some skills I have to keep everyone happy and comfortable.Comment

Ditto here. This past summer, I worked 45 straight 12-hour days. I have nearly doubled my salary because of over time. I like some overtime, one day of overtime is $540 - $720 extra on my pay check. Like the commercial I saw once, the higher rate of pay for overtime is not for the extra work, its for what you miss at home!!!sigpicComment

yup- computer tech during the day...35mm Projectionist at our theater 4 nights a week. My 2nd job was not out of necessity per-say, but I am buying something that required the extra $$. I am hoping to post pics this coming week heheComment

I took a leave of absence from my other position last year. I will be picking it back up (plus whatever else I can find) after I'm done with my MFA program next year.
My wife has been working part time as well. She is planning on trying to do more this next year as well.
Oklahoma's economy is OK, but we've lost so much in our retirement accounts that we're feeling nervous, so we're going into overdrive.

Lo there do I see my Mother and my Sisters and my Brothers.
Lo there do I see the line of my people back to the begining.
Lo they do call me.
They bid me take my place among them.

Yeah when I first started out I worked 3-4 jobs and went to school. 10 years later as a Nurse I put in 12-18 hour days. I missed most of my first two kids growing up. Now I back doing heavy work cause I needed something with less stress. Somedays I come home barely able to move.
Social security (if we even still have it then) Says I can retire with full benefits in my mid 70s Oh Joy. I had 3 pension plans and two got wiped out.Lo there do I see my Father.
