    Paul Benedict RIP

    From Wikipedia:
"On December 1, 2008, Benedict was found dead at his home by his brother in
Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts. He was 70 years old."

He was best known as THE JEFFERSONS neighbor Mr. Bentley...but I'm a huge
SPINAL TAP fan and give him his props for playing the hotel clerk
in that movie---as well as his cameos in WAITING FOR GUFFMAN
    and A MIGHTY WIND.
"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris Mannix

He was also the "Mad Painter" on Sesame Street, one of my favorite recurring items back in the day.

Wasn't he the neighbor judge in the Addam's Family movie, too? Gomez kept hitting golf balls through his window.
I didn't recognize the name but it sounded familiar. I know who you're talking about now.

"I am as God made me sir...." I think that was his big line in Spinal Tap

I heard it was the guy who played Ralph the doorman. I guess they got it wrong.

I remember him from the Jeffersons and before that, the number painter on Sesame Street. RIP Paul, you'll be missed.
