    Ancient Buzz in General Buzz.

Oldest Marijuana Stash Found in Gobi Desert Grave

Whether you're a deadhead or not, this is quite a burial. This guy has a pretty interesting tomb and was apparently well set up for the afterlife. Supposedly a shamen, he's got his Harp, some Horse Tack, a bow and arrow, tool kit, a bed to chill in and a whole mess o' weed. No pipe though. Possibly ingested or used to treat his glaucoma.

It's better to burn out then fade away

I wonder if he died in his sleep there from a wound or if it was tomb where he was put to rest

It's hard to believe that it would still be green after all that time

One picture heading stated that it would no longer be potent. I am not sure how they determined that, Probably their undergraduate tech assistant sampled it. I am curious how it might have been utilized on a medicinal level that long ago. Of course it was used for rope, cloth, etc, but for a Shamen to have it indicates either a spiritual or medicinal use.

Probably not a medicinal use, but more along the spiritual lines. The Maya would use drugs to induce a trance-like state to communicate with their gods, so another culture may have done something similar.

I've smelled my neighbors "communicating with their gods" on a few occasions.
