Hey guys! I was wondering if anyone knows the answer to this. I installed an early version of iTunes, (1.1.), and also installed an OS 8 patch to make it work with my old Mac software, (OS 8.6). and it is great! I can copy all my CD's to my Library BUT I don't see the iPod itself in the left hand, Source column. So I can't actually move the songs to the iPod Classic or modify the content of my iPod. I was thinking the patch should allow it to be recognized-otherwise what would the point be? Has anyone else ever had this happen? The iPod was given to me and was originally ormatted on a PC -not a Mac. Is there a way to have it recognized on a Mac without losing the contents already in it? Is anyone else using this old patch with an old OS?
