    Local channel launches retro channel

One of the local channels out of Huntsville just launched a retro TV channel. Suppose to have stuff like The Incredible Hulk,The Munsters and so on. There is a drawback. You have to have HDTV to get it.

Cool, I remember when FX first went on the air. They carried old 20th century fox produced programs, like Batman, Green Hornet, Wondar Woman, Greastest American Hero, Etc.. It was fun watching, just like watching the early days of the Sci-Fi Channel. Today, I really care for these to two channels

I'm enjoying to watching all those classic Si-Fi on 2 different channels.

What's "HDTV" means? I haven't heard that abbreviate yet. LMK, thanks.

Our cable company kinda bites anymore, they are slowly moving all the best channels up to the digital tier.Thats where all the new channles go too.I just refuse to pay that much each month.

Pat, HDTV stands for High Definition TV

It's basically a special TV and special cable system with a real super-clear picture ... It's also expensive.

Ye, they do. The retro shows 1 retro commercial per break. Very cool.

One of the locals here has a retro channel they show on their "extra" digital channel. It's not in HD, though. This is the channel they broadcast:
