There was more to this story. The "meteor" was seen all the way from Montana and North Dakota, all the way to the far Northern region of Alberta. People in Saskatchewan and Manitoba also reported seeing it. Funny thing is everyone (including me in Calgary) saw exactly what the poilce film shows....only in our own areas?
Their were either several meteorites....some kind of optical illusion....or one big huge sucker space rock(some said it looked to be bigger than 5 football fields!)
As in the tape, the one we saw in Calgary looked like it crashed just North of town. Edmonton is a couple of hours North of us, and they saw the same thing. Fort McMurry Alberta is 8 hours North (if you drive like Goggles Piazonno) and they saw the same thing...So far, nobody has been able to find a crash site.
