Here I go with Queen again...lol.

When people think of Queen...they think of Freddie Mercury...but Brian May was Mercury's equal...May wrote half of the Queen's songs and is himself a very underrated guitarist. The other Queen member who gets overlooked a lot is drummer Roger Taylor...not only a solid drummer...but the guy had a great set of pipes...

As a matter of fact...he still sings pretty good...

Chris Novoselic. Not the visionary Cobain was or a prodigy like Grohl, but a solid musician whose contributions, both musically and politically, were an integral componet to Nirvana's sucess. The dude plays multiple insturments. I admire anyone who can "rock" an accordian...LOL!!

              I'll throw in Stig Anderson.

He co-wrote many of Abba's hit songs including Dancing Queen, Mama Mia, and S.O.S.

              He was the band's manager.

Austin's post about THE CARS' Elliot Easton rings really true with me
personally because Ocasek and Orr, being lead singers really
did steal a lot of that spotlight but I'm a huge fan of what Easton's
guitar brought to a band I really enjoy that could have been drowned in
synth ideas alone---Easton's guitar exponentionally makes THE CARS'
                sound unique.

The QUEEN Taylor lead vocal clip that was shown by Hector
was awesome proof of Taylor's underrated value in that band---IILWMC is
a standout track on an album that is hard to compete on (NATO) to
                begin with.

I'd also like to mention BOB DAISLEY---Daisley is a musician who originally
gained fame in some older bands but really shone in Rhoads-era
OZZY OSBOURNE and beyond----anyone that's a fan of OZZY's solo stuff from the 80s owes most of their appreciation (in regard to the songwriting
anyway) to Bob Daisley, the major songwriting force behind the majority
                of those songs.
"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris Mannix

Not to be picky, but his birth name is "Chris". He changed the spelling of his name to "Krist" after an early 1990's visit to Croatia, where his parents immigrated from...
