I agree with your list. Magical Mystery was an abomination.

I enjoyed Let it Be a lot. I loved the interaction among the group.

Magical Mystery Tour is the best.

Because it is the only one I didn't see.

i love the Beatles but these movies were BAD.

1.A Hard Day's night......still funny love the who's that little old man " he's very Clean" bit still makes me laugh.

2.Yellow Submarine- fabulous fantasy tale with cutting edge animation of the time. it was a Holiday favorite of mine.

3.Help!- Kaaaaaaaaeeeeeeeellllllllleeeeee!!!! lol! Loved this not as funny as the first movie but it has it's bits...loved the scene when they are in makeup hiding they looked like their later versions.

4.Magical Mystery Tour- it's not great but the singing bits save this bad idea.

6.Let it Be-I never really enjoyed this because you can see the rift already there especially when you see Paul and George go at it........

7.Anthology-The whole beatles story told from there point of view an excellent documentary for all fans.

              Other note worthy Films
Birth of the Beatles- ABC TV one of my fave movies about the Beatles from their beginnings up to the First trip to America.

BackBeat- Like birth of the Beatles but for the big screen. A bit more raw showing how rough the early days were but had a Kick *** soundtrack

...in that order. I've not seen "Yellow Submarine" in it's entirety. If we're counting the Anthology, it would be at the top of my list.

                    Not perfect.

If the Beatles voiced their characters, it would have been perfect.

                      I don't agree.

I love the voice actors' performance and can't rightly see how the
"real" Beatles could have topped it.

It don't surprise me considering how much you're looking up to Star Dreck

                          Hmmm.

                          I hear ya.

But to see both sides, you have to look at it from my perspective.

I look at you as someone who has these silly rules
about art in which the original can't be used as inspiration
to make good product....you hold it WAY too holy.

To me that's elitist thought AND very limited vision
which nullifies any opportunity to enjoy something
that withOUT the silly rules may have potential to satisfy you.

                          1. But you'd never know because of your stubborn mindset.

                          and

                          2. You judge others by your (silly) rules.

That doesn't seem very "logical" to me.

IMO, A Hard Days Night is by far the best, or I guess I should say my favorite. They still seem to be having fun, it's still funny and a little more innocent than some of the rest.

The cinematography in Hard Days Night is also copied a lot in parodies et al. So I would think it was the most influential.
                              It's all good!
