Who does Another One Bites The Dust again?

"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris Mannix

Hey Hector, remember when that was the theme song of the AC Mobbers?
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

                  Interesting list.

The #1 Single is a song written by Mac Davis (with Aretha Franklin in mind) and performed by Big E. Catchy tune, but a bit surprising to see it listed as #1 on any list.

I never liked Another One Bites The Dust.

I don't hate it, but i'm not partial to it.

To me, it seems like Queen was slumming when they made song -- meaning, their so talented with music and vocals ... yet hardly neither is used in that song.

On the other hand, another Queen song that came out around that time -- Crazy Little Thing, I thought was terrific.

                      Yep.
Queen is my favorite band of all time and though this song was popular right after I got into them (I already owned Live Killers when the Game came out)
it was not the high quality song Queen was known for. It was simple and simply plagiarized. This song and half of the Hot Space album are the worste of the Queen collection.
Understandably it was a hit song. Catchy. Late disco era. Simple. Hit songs are often not the best music. I am not dissin' Pop - I like some but it is disposable. Good music is to be kept and replayed for years.

                        Exactly, Brue.

You and I will forever be brothers due to the Queen factor.

Bassist John Deacon wrote Another One Bites the Dust...that's why is just all thump, thump, thump...

Deacon also wrote another major hit...You Are My Best Friend...

Crazy Little Thing Called Love was a homage to Elvis Presley.

Hot Space is truly Queen's worst album...but it does have one great song...Under Pressure with David Bowie.

I do like the album the Game though.

Your disclaimer ("not dissin' pop) is noted but I still have to say I think it's
                              alright to listen to...

                              and celebrate...and LOVE

simpler songs "replaying them for years"----especially if it's
                              ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST!

It is a simple, great and powerful rock song.

And if QUEEN didn't have the "simple" songs I know I wouldn't be such
the big fan that I am.

Also, I have to note that even in the most SIMPLE songs, that trite lyrics
and generic vocal performances can really kill any value that
we may percieve (even as the most "elitist fans")----

                              Still...
QUEEN, whether it's Deacon, Mercury or whomever, always had
a wonderfully REFRESHING take on vocal and lyric style.
