Ray Ellis, composer of the Filmation background music and other stuff RIP

Yep, Ray Ellis was really the person responsible for the ubiquitous background music on the Filmation shows. His resume is impressive beyond the fact that he was practically the background score for a lot of our childhoods.

He created all of that great music for the classic '67 Spiderman series. What an incredible talent. A true loss.

Wow, and I was watching the Spider-man cartoon today. RIP Ray.

I love the music for '67 Spider-man but nothing beats the 1970's Filmation background music. Especially what I call the "danger cue" used many times in many Filmation shows (one example is the scene in TAS Yesteryear where young Spock encounters the Vulcan Godzilla sounding creature).
