    What if

Been thinking about this quite a lot, and wanted to see if anyone else thought about this.

If you could go back and change things, would you still be in the same line of work your in now? If not what would you want to do?

I'm a network engineer, and I'm getting really burned out. If I had it to do all over again, I would probably want to be a paramedic.

Think B.A. Where did you hide the Megos?

I'd want to be a network engineer.

You can always take a First Responder course and take rides with local EMT's, etc. Your work may even pay for the course.

If I could go back, I would probably would have stayed in nursing (or even Med school, but grades weren't that good). I didn't finish college, dropped out to start a good job in business management (restaurant).

If money (income) didn't matter, I would go back and go to culinary school, like I looked into.

Luckily, I won the "job lottery" and got the position I have now (chemical process operator), and have a very exciting, semi-dangerous, never dull job (plus pay is unbelievable).

Back in college, I got approached by a man who said he wanted me for a beer commercial. I was heavy into body building at the time and I worried this was some sort of pick up thing , plus I was a total flake so I took his card but never showed up for the audition.

An aspiring model friend of mine saw the card and flipped on my head, the guy was legit and so was the commercial. She'd have killed for an opportunity to meet him.

I wish I hadn't blown the guy off, I might have been in a summers worth of Blue commercials.

I was a real good boxer as an amateur when I was a kid and at 17 seriously considered turning pro. I always think, what if I did give it my all. I'd like to see what would/could have happened but not if it meant giving up my wife and my Lizzybear. Without them I'd be nothing.

I totally Lucked Out. I wasn't Sure what I was gonna do after Highschool. So I decided to follow in my Familys Footsteps. I went into My Local USAF Recruiter and started the Process. They asked me what I wanted to do and My reply was Either a Mechanic or something in the Medical Field. I went to MEPS to start processing. I told the Recruiter there what I wanted to Be. He looked at my ASVAB scores and said ok. Well I was taken out of the group I was there with and given Different Physical exams than everyone else. Afterwards I went back into that same Recruiters Office. He said those extra Tests are to see if you would qualify as an Air Traffic Controller. Well I passed them all. He said I'm gonna enlist you as an ATCer. Here I am still in the Same field after 14 years. I did 4 years in the Service and then Went Civillian. At the time I never even knew what it was. I wouldn't change a Thing

              For sure,

I was in JROTC in High school and was a great athlete.I was one of the top Cadets in the State and was going to get my letter of recommendation from my Colonel to go to either West point or the Citadel but I got into some real trouble and that killed my chances of going to either one.(I could've been an Officer right now)

I tried to join as an MP and got rejected because of the same incident and they told me NO! but then 2 days after 9-11 they called me asking me if I wanted to go as Infantry that they would allow that.So I SAID NO! (Don't regret that one though)

I have no doubt I would've been a Drill SGT. or Special Forces,my PT scores were some of the Tops in the State

I still can't make up my mind on what I want to be lol lol ... after high school I wanted to join the army, but a bad shoulder kept me out ... I ended up putting my life on hold to help my parents raise my niece (since my sister is a flake)

Then I worked at a lumber yard and started going back to school taking general classes until I figured out what I wanted to do. Then got stuck raising my sister's youngest kid ... who is now 11. And at last things are getting to the point where I can get on with my life ...

                So any suggestions???? LMAO

I was a paramedic for over five years. Not a job I recommend for many people.
It can and will wreak havoc on you both physically and mentally.I haven't done that job in over twelve years and there are still times I have the non-stop flashbacks or nightmares just out of the blue...

                  The upside-
                  You save peoples lives...enough said.
You get a cool uniform, people great you with respect, free coffee from most places. You get some cool wheels to cruise in.
Nothing gets the blood pumping more than when that call comes in,it is a high you can not explain.

On a side note I met my wife while working ambulance and she said initially it was the uniform,so hey it worked out for me...

It is never to late though.Take a first responder program and do some ride alongs as previously mentioned.Everyone should have a chance to live their dream!!!
I may still go back to it in the future,I really do miss it.Good luck.

I also did a little bit of boxing...but I just didn't have the dedication required for the sport...plus I always hated getting hit on the nose, lol.

I think football would've been more realistic given my size...but again...I just hated high school football practices...plus I wasn't too fast.

But aside from athletics...I wished I had stuck with Japanese...I took four years of Japanese at college...but after that...I never stuck with it...I could've been fluent in Japanese.

I also would've loved being either a zoologist, marine biologist, or even a paleontologist...not great money in any of them...but I think I would've been very happy with any of those professions.

If I could go back, I'd have my head surgically removed from my rear end and focus on the future. Then I'd stay in school, go to college, become something that matters, and be someone. I'd probably be an astronaut. I know that sounds childish and lame, but I'd love to be an astronaut.

On a side note, I'd buy up all the Megos I could find, and on this very day when I posted my reply, it would say, "I already did it. Check out my 'Collection Of Minty Awesomeness' in Toy Room Central."

"I prefer to remain an enigma."

I dunno...maybe a writer, actress (even voice-over work), I used to want to sing, but I don't have the same voice I did when I was 20. T-shirt art, radio personality...I guess I'm a pretty creative person.

My Dad was in the military (Air Force) and I came really close to enlisting after high school. Sometimes I wonder what it would have been like had I gone down that path.

                              I would have started Ebay.

I wanted to start my own business and actually thought that some type of website that put buyers and sellers together for collectibles would be a good idea. I would have had no clue how to execute and never got much further than I thought it was something that people would be interested in.
