Good Thoughts to Steshell's Family

When I first joined this site and was trying to get my grubby little hands on MM cards so many people sent me cards. As a nice gesture I sent some books to people, not as a trade, just as a "thank you" to them!

There was on gentlemen named Steve that most might know as Steshell from the UK who sent me cards boxed at his expense out of kindness, so as I did for other members I sent him some books.....

It seems the books never made it, so I sent him more and made sure to add tracking so I would be sure Steve got the books I so wanted him to have.

Well today I get a pm from Steshell apologizing to me for not thanking me for the books, it seems his wife and grandson were in a terrible car accident, it was so bad his wife had to be cut from the vehicle.! Thank God his grandson was ok, but his wife had numerous stitches, staples, broken ribs and was in ICU for a week!!!
And he is apologizing to me for books!!!!!! Can you believe this..... Books!!!!!

Needless to say, I am thrilled he was able to bring his family home and his wife is expected to make a full recovery!

I just wanted to share that with you guys because I thought a man of his character who probably helped a bunch of you guys at some time or another for goodies could use a kind word from other members.

I know how it feels.

My wife was hit by a car ten years ago. She was scooped up, slammed through the windshield on top of the driver, who just then applied the brakes. My wife then flew back over the hood, sliding thirty feet across the pavement.
Would you believe that she "only" had a million cuts and bruises, but no serious injuries.
Miraculously, her shoulder, which had been hurt before and only had limited movement, popped loose, and she now has normal movement in it.
She did look like The Mummy for weeks to come....

Yeah, go kill some people. Wouldn't want your kid to go hungry for another ten minutes..."

What I'm trying to say: sometimes, Angels DO watch your back....

Hi, this is Caroline, Steve's wife.

Many thanks for all of your kind comments. I'm finally home after 6 days in Intensive Care and 5 days on a ward and had my last staples removed yesterday. Over the next two to three weeks we hope to get back to some sort of normality.

Thaks again, it's nice to see so many caring people are thinking of Steve.
