We have several Chick-fil-a's here. Before I had ever seen one I thought it was a gas station. Still sounds like one every time I think about it. They are deeeeelicious! Not McDonalds prices but not outrageous.
When I saw the title to this thread I thought you were talking about a toy/figure giveaway (like with a happy meal).

I never Knew Chick-fil-A had a Regular Restaurant. I've only seen a few and they were little places in the Mall. I Love there Chicken and Waffle Frys. That has to be one of my Favorite places and I haven't been to one since I was a Kid

Never been to one, they never made it up to Canada. I've always been curious about the place though. Hopefully I'll find one in my US travels some day.

Chik-Fil-A has been around for many years, and was just mostly in malls for the most part, but now have full restaurants. The chicken sandwich is to die for!!!

It is still one of the few major companies (maybe it & Hobby Lobby) that still closes on Sunday so it's employees can "Spend time in worship and with family!" Says it right on the door.

As for major chains in certain parts of the country, until about seven or eight years ago, I had never seen a "Jack In The Box". They didn't have them in Louisiana. The only place I had heard of them was when the were killing people out west with tainted meat about ten years ago.

We still do not have Crystal's or White Castles here (use to have White Castles many years ago).

Pay attention to a new place called "Raising Cane's". It is a local company that started as a hole in the wall just outside the gates of LSU just fifteen years ago or so. Now it is a major chain in Louisiana, Texas, and Mississippi and many other states. They just moved their headquarters to Dallas in order to start moving further out west. They only serve chicken fingers. You can order a chicken finger sandwich or a chicken finger box, thats it!!!

It all started in 1946 with a restaurant in Hapeville Georgia (just south of Atlanta) called the Dwarf Grill. The early 60's saw the first Chic-Fil-A restaurants opened in shopping malls.

Their sales force (TV and Billboard ads) are fantastic.

Chick-fil-a good but I just never understood their die hard appeal. I had people that I would work with that would go there practically every day for lunch. I will concur the best thing on the menu is the waffle fries. Cool story too. Sorry that it was to packed to truly enjoy.

They have been in Maryland for about 10 years or so.

Their whole spin is that they don't serve beef products only chicken but they make some very good chicken sandwiches/salads/etc. The buns are not just some generic type roll.

Their usual campaign slogan is a picture of a cow holding up a sign saying "eat more chicken"

mmmmmmm..... get the 12 piece nuggets combo with the polynesian sauce. Unless you are alergic to peanuts (they use peanut oil) then don't waste the trip. LOL
Don't be sorry. How would you know? You've been watching MTV all your life.

I think they just opened one in nearby Lexington. I've seen the billboards for Canes.

Speaking of billboards, Chick-Fil-A has had some really good ones here in the last 10 or so years. They had 3D sculptures of two cows writing "eat more chicken" in paint. Very catchy.

I always thought Chick-Fi-A was a Hooters Knock-off. Like Paul Harvey stated "Know you know the rest of the story".
