sorry to have stolen the thread from you HardyGirl, I didn't realize you made this same thread on the old forum.Since I'm the one who started that other post about screen name origins, I'll just repeat my answer.
I am a MAJOR Shaun Cassidy fan.
I have a website (see profile), and I've had the great fortune to see and speak to Shaun in person, 4 times. He's a real sweetheart.
So since he is the ultimate Hardy Boy, it's only fitting that I dub myself The HardyGirl.
Glad to see so many responses, I love hearing stories so I can relate those stories to the people I talk to on the forum.

My eBay name is Sarlacc*food..... because Boba Fett, my favorite SW charector, became Sarlacc Food when Han Solo launched him into the Sarlacc Pit during the battle of Carkoon in ROTJ.

Mine is taken by a the newest Marvel superhero, The Sentry, I went to Megomeet this year got the stuff I needed to make a custom Sentry! So I thought this would be a cool tribute!
But honestly, "Hulk" was taken, Hulk's my favorite hero and Mego action figure!

My name is Dave, my last name is McCormick. I always seem to work with another Dave in the office, so when I have to initial things I got in the habit of using Dave Mc or DMc, so I used it here as well.Comment

Mine is a very simple and fairly unexciting story as to how I came up with my Mego Museum name. My first name is Johnny I was going to just tack Mego on the end of it. Much to my chagrine JohnnyMego was taken by a a gentleman who I am pretty sure has not posted here in many years. My last name starts with a C so I threw that in there and there ya go.
Great origin story huh?

I took the single Mego figure that I wanted the most as a kid that I couldn't get and combined it with my birthday. If I had really thought about it, I would have just gone with my name, Sean.Comment

When I signed up to the 'bay a few years back I was struggling to find a username. I happened to have an old newspaper article about my great-grandfather on my desk, he was an Australian & Commonwealth boxing champion and Australian Rules footballer back in the 1890-1900's.
The article was discussing his time playing with his beloved South Melbourne Football club, and it was using the slang from the period with lines such as "'e 'urt 'em with 'is 'in-close' work at Sowth".
So there you go!
