The metric system messed me up man....LOL
I was in grade 3 when they implemented it here in Canada and it still screws with me today...Damn Trudeau!!!
I remember being in Oregon one time getting pulled over by a state trooper,he asked me if I knew how fast I was going?
I said 90 kilometers an hour...He almost blew a gasket started ranting and raving saying and I quote..."U-r in the united states of america boy,we dont have no K-EEE-lometeres here!!!Down here it miles per you got me???"
So I said "okay 55miles per hour sir..."
He paused for a moment I think doing conversion in his head and then said "okay my canadian friend be on your way."
Not sure what happened but eh alls well that ends well...
    And metric sucks...

I hate metric. My scooter speedometer and odometer is all in metric, and its a royal pain to figure out how far I have gone, and how fast I'm going.

Think B.A. Where did you hide the Megos?

Heh, the way you write it makes that cop sound like the tobaccy chewin' cop from the Bond movies (Culpepper?)

I was in elementary school when the "change" happened too. It was a rural school...just us dumb farm kids and a few townies. Most of the parents freaked out and fought the school system about teaching Metric...guess they thought there was some hope of it reverting back? Anyways, as a result, the school decided to circumvent the situation, and just briefly covered teaching each system. Never really learned the "metric way" until junior high. At that stage, I was firmly esconced in Imperial, and still use it today for the most part. No problems with metric, just used to the older system.

Just think: when boasting to the girls, you could be so much more impressive.

Instead of saying: "Mine's 10 inch", you could say "25 centimeters!"

And instead of weighing 200 pounds, you'd only be 90 kilos!
                .
