He's gonna need a bigger boat....

.....if I ever get my hands in him.

    I'm talking about Richard Dreyfuss.

For three consecutive editions, he has canceled Collectormania UK, just days before appearing.
Once OK. Twice, well, it can happen. But three times?!

So now, he has made me very, very mad.
    I'm talking Lou Ferrigno here....

Sharks are going to be the least of his worries from now on.
    He'll face...The Wrath of Gorn....

He just signed on to do the Megafest here in November, with Linda Blair from the Exorcist movies. I think Ferrigno is there too so you guys can compare "the rage inside" if you wanna make the trek from Belgium. Jonathan Frakes is the lead draw, but I'm still not sure if that's enough to get me to attend. The show itself just hasn't been impressive the last couple of times I've gone. Guess we'll have to see what I feel like when it gets closer.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

Dreyfuss is too big of an actor to do shows.
I don't know why he commits himself to begin with -- unless he get's off being a tease.

That would Definately Aggrevate me If he cancelled three times in a row.

Not only that, but the charge would have been $60 per autograph, from what a colleague autograph hunter informed me just yesterday.

In a way, I'm glad he didn't show up...

I find it hard to believe there's an "urgent" need to cancel a show three times in a row, with only days to spare.

He was also on the schedule for Chiller Theatre in Jersey last weekend but cancelled about 2-3 weeks before the show. Last spring, he was scheduled to do Monster Mania in Cherry Hill and cancelled. About a year and a half ago I think he was also on the list for Big Apple in NYC and I think cancelled as well. Don't hold your breath for him showing up in Framingham. I am starting to believe that promoters like Kevin (Chiller) and Ken (Megafest) put him on the list even though they don't have a definite "yes" from him or his agent just to sell a bunch of advenced tickets.

            Good Luck!

I'm staging a convention next month, with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, and The Pope.

              Tickets are now available....

He's Gonna Need a Bigger Boat

Maybe He's Not Attending Because of the Fact , People Don't reconize that He never Said that Line...

I have never had the Oppertunity to Attend a Convention. However ,.. Other than B, C & D & well Even E, F & G Actors,.. Has any A list Actors ever Attended any of these Conventions ? I would Most Definately Classify DreyFuss as an A lister,.. well atleast for What He did do at One period in time or another.

I know these Conventions Attract Many Actors from Hit TV Shows,.. But I dunno if I would Classify any of them as A listers. Just my Take.

I agree. But why get fans excited, only to shoot them down again?
Simply state: Mr Dreyfuss doesn't do conventions!

I wasn't aware anybody would really be interested in Richard Dryfuss's Autograph.
I'm not trying to be a dink or be funny, he just doesn't seem like "that guy" to me.

Well, Close Encounters and Jaws are still among my favorites, so I wanted to add him to my collection.

Sorry to bump this up, but I thought a few of you would be interested to know that Richard Dryfuss has indeed cancelled his appearance at the SuperMegaFest in Boston this weekend, just as I knew he would, and right on schedule, three days before the event. All the advance tickets are sold, all the dealer tabels are sold. Glad I'm not selling there this year as there will be a bunch of upset people. That's 0-6 for Dryfuss showing up at conventions where he was booked, in case anyone is counting.

Maybe he has conflicting notions on where his career is. He books the shows when he's in need of some cash, and then when it comes time to go, his pride gets the better of him.
                              Just a thought.

Either way, he should honor his commitments.
