Halloween 08

This was the first weekend of Halloween - yes I like the holiday and drag it out over two weeks when paossible.

I have worn Batman to the rec center halloween party - Flash to the 30th annual pumpkin run 5k - Superman to Boo at the Zoo.

My daughters have been Pocahontas and Wonder Woman (Lily)
and Elmo and Wondergirl (Nori)

We had to bail on an adult party tonight where I was planning spiderman - we plan to hit a party after trick or treat next weekend

Lily wants me to be Aquaman for trick or treat. She wants to be Jasmine.
Eleanor will reprise Elmo.

PS - I had my best 5k time since my teens: 18:03 (5:50 mile pace)

Damn...I didn't know Batman was bigger than Superman...lol.

I'm envious that you look good in all those costumes...the only one I could pass would be as the Kingpin.

Batman was a paid actor at the Columbus Zoo. Last year the Zoo had a weenie in a cheap spider-man outfit who zoomed passed us.

This year my 4 year old was nearly in tears with disappointment that we didn't see Batman in the 2.5 hours we'd been there. he was scheduled to be at the zoo making rounds most of the day.

I told her he may have had to go save someone - What's more important? sadly she responded saving people

we got on the carousel and after it was done i told the 3 girls to wait a second while i grabbed the jogger. as i rounded the corner i saw batman's motorcade coming (several golf carts including one batcart - several official people and photographers walikng with it) i yelled to the girls they all came running -in costume- THE batman jumped off his "car" went straight for me shook my hand and said good to see you superman. then he turned to the still moving motorcade and signaled them to stop. he spend 5 minutes with my kids. he even helped Nori get her tiara back on. took my camera and handed it to a stranger to take our pic then drove off.

i was a 10 year old geek

it was awesome.

i am pretty sure it may have been the real batman and not an actor.

i took 30 seconds of video too.

I'm envious that you look good in all those costumes...the only one I could pass would be as the Kingpin.

if I could only figure out a way to get 6 inches taller - the superman and baman costumes would look better. flash somehow seems to work for me.
maybe i should do a robin costume since i am about his size.

I added the second week of Halloween Photos.

My wife went as Palin. Lily changed what she was going to trick or treat in so she could be under the sea with me.

She helped draw my scales (I was horrified to find her with the permanent marker and my shirt - but she dis about 20 scales just fine.)

I forgot to put on my fins for TRT and for the later parties they didn't stay on well.

This is a suit that I adapted from one I wore in '98 or so. I went with the black boots instead of green socks over running shoes this time (filmation style)

Our friends were Amy Winehouse and Blake (seems there were alot of these this year.)

There are several people at the outdoor festival that I don't know.

Oh and I made the Batgirl cape for Lily's freind - I used a Mego Batman pattern that I converted to her size.
