I saw it before everyone else did employee showings are great! Then I went and saw it on the preview, people were cheering and raising all kindsa hell! I loved the experience of seeing it on the big screen (well, I'm a Transformer freak, what do ya expect?) My guitarist hated it, he thought they should have went Gen 1 with the look of the bots, and was disgusted with the movie, but he's the definition of a killjoy!

Again, I thought it was great to see the bots on the big screen, Michael Bay went over the top with the effects and the stunts, the bots looked great and the action was awesome!

    *********SPOILER ALERT**********

The only thing that really got me is they killed my favorite Transformer, now that sucked

I enjoyed it and have to say Peter Cullen as Prime really added to it.
I popped for the "One will stand, one will fall" line being brought back. I think they did a good job taking the concept and making it work for more than just kids and updating it. It should definitely be seen on the big screen.
I would have liked to see a bit more development on the some of the supporting transformers (particularly Starscream) but maybe there will be more in the sequel. Oh yeah and Megan Fox is HOT! I'm pretty desensitized in that type of thing but I found myself thinking it everytime she was on screen.

Yeah I have to agree she's a freakin' hottie I also would've liked to have seen more of the old characters, and I have to admit that kid from even Stevens has turned out to be a pretty darn good actor,he made me crack up a lot in the movie

I really liked the movie too! The S.E. were really worth the ticket IMO. T

Saw it with the family yesterday, and it's everything you want in a summer blockbuster. The fact that it took time to have an actual storyline, some character development and some genuine humor made it more than just an effects movie. We all really enjoyed it. Our audience clapped at the end too, and several classic lines and character intros got some "YEAH!" reactions from the crowd. LeBouf was good, and the girl is indeed a cutie. I felt like a dirty old man. And my wife told me I was.

For pure specatacle alone, I gotta say that this is some of the best FX I've ever seen. It's pretty much flawless. If you want to see it, go do so on the big screen. It's well worth it!

While I don't like it as much as just about everyone else seems to, even I would say that if you want to see it, to go see it at the theatre. It would lose something on the small screen.

Transformers was fun but certainly not the best Summer popcorn movie...at least for me.

I enjoyed it too. The movie has me interested in buying one of the old shows on DVD. Looks a little confusing when I look on Amazon. They made so many versions. I would to love see a few of the oldest cartoons from the early 80's (shown here in NYC on Channel 11 before at 4:00 pm after school before "Good Times.")
As a side note, at 4:30 I would watch the 4:30 Movie which often showed the Wonder Woman TV movie with Kathy Lee Crosby, Planet of the Apes Movies, Batman, and the Omega Man. Those were the pre-Oprah and cable days.

Die Hard was incredible. Highly enjoyed it.

Transformers was WAY too long and WAY too busy. I wanted that stupid movie to end and I never once cared what happened. I hated it. Surprised, because I am totally in favor of fighting giant robots.

If you are looking for a movie that is fun, exciting and familiar all at the same time, Live Free or Die Hard is definitely the way to go. I know it would be the kind of movie that I wouldn't bother analyzing DURING the movie. It works quickly into the action and rarely lets up. You realize 45 minutes afterwards that you are still decompressing from the non-stop action. A thoroughly enjoyable way to spend your summer movie money.

Just saw Transformers last night. I thought it was mediocre. I was a moderate fan of the cartoon as a kid (I prefered G.I. Joe) and went in a different direction then I expected.

I got a hacked DVD of this movie. I didn't think I would enjoy it. That is why I bought the hack. I liked it so much, I might goto the theatre to see it.

I went to see it w/Antonio and his wife and thought this was a great film. Seeing the previews for this it looked like it was an event film.

I won't badger anyone to rush out and see it but it does look better on the big screen. I think now that the crowds have died down if you were not sure about seeing it but have free time some evening or Saturday morning/afternoon make the effort and treat yourself to a little bit of fun and scifi/fantasy.

The only down-side to seeing this was some people sat in front of Antonio and throughout the film there was this Captain Bringdown in the group and all he kept saying thru the film was, "This is stupid, this sucks, that's dumb!, " and for the finale, " These people need Psychiatrists if they applaud for this movie!"

Clearly this person was not a fan and didn't want to be there but is it necessary to be a jerk during the film!?!?!?! I was never a fan of the toy or cartoon but really was impressed with it.
