I love Zimmern, He's like Curly from the Three Stooges in far away lands eating grasshoppers and lizard testicles.
I also love how the Travel Channel has two food shows (Zimmern and Bourdain) that kill anything on the Food Network....The Food Network is pretty frickin' weak these days and this is coming from someone who LOVES food shows........
Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern Rocks. He's got a Great Personality and He'll eat just about anything. I loved the episode where he found his kryptonite. It was Durian. That was Funny
Sammy
I LOVE that show! He seems like a genuinely nice guy, and I love it when he eats something that almost makes him puke! He also answers all of his emails personally, which is a rarity these days.
Chef Andrew (as he was known) has been a local TV personality here in Minneapolis for several years... we were pretty intrigued when he got that show, but he's definitely got an edge to him on that show that he doesn't have on local TV...
"If you take a dog which is starving and feed him and make him prosperous, that dog will not bite you. This is the primary difference between a dog and a man."
Anybody else love Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern ?
I swear, that guy would eat a turd if it was held close enough to his mouth
Yeah, I love that show. If that turd looks good, he'll eat it!
I think the closest he got to tasting turd is a by product of it. Kopi Luwak (pronounced [ˈkopi ˈluwak]) or Civet coffee is coffee made from coffee berries which have been eaten by and passed through the digestive tract of the Asian Palm Civet. The civets eat the berries, but the beans inside pass through their system undigested.
For some reason, I always get hungry watching that show and I probably would not try half of that stuff!! Zimmern has the unique abilty to make rotten fish that has been buried for two weeks seem edible, if not appetizing. And yeah, he definitely has the Curly from the Stooges thing goin' on...
