Had to watch it a lot as a kid. Didn't like it much then, but appreciate it now!

I remember my Dad watching it a couple of times when I was little but I never really got into it.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I grew up w/ Hee Haw too. Lame, but funny.

Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic

                    Hey Grampa! What's fer supper?
                    Yummmm-yummmm!

The best is the episode of Family Guy where they keep saying "And now, ladies & gentlemen, Mister Conway Twitty!" then cut to a few minutes of tape from Hee-Haw of the square-hair Mr. Twitty singing. Classic, and just fits into the show so well.

We watched Hee-Haw every Saturday when I was a kid..in fact I remember when it first debuted on TV and was billed as the country-western version of Laugh-In, which I guess it kinda was. My Dad loved it! I didn't so much then, but I've come to appreciate it a bit more now (guess I'm the same age now as Dad was then...maybe I hit lame-joke menopause).

Has anyone ever seen the comic books or magazines from the show? I have a couple of the Charlton Comics, and recently I saw a stack of the black & white photo magazines at an auction and was bidding on them, but the 6 of them sold to some dealer for like $50!

Always liked Buck Owens' patriotic guitar too.

                    I'm-a pickin'! And I'm-a grinnin'!
