    offical Mischief Night thread

Thought as a build up to halloween, we'll have a little mischief night discussion thread

    First off,
Mischief night goes by many names throughout the USA and world.
What do you call this day in your neck of the woods ?

    Second
    Did you ever participate ?
If so, what did you do ?

    Third
    Have you been mischiefed ?
    What happened ?

    Me,
Here in the NJ/PA area we call it Mischief Night

    I never EVER participated.
Even as a young'in, I thought it was stupid to ruin or vandalize your neighbour's property.

What has anyone ever did to me ?
Mostly egged my truck and front door a few times.
    Nothing worse (so far)

    How 'bout yous ?

Called mischief night in Florida too. I can remember launching some TP rolls into the trees, Ring and run on some houses and I think we may have once let a bag of dog crap on someones door step. Nothing to bad.

As an adult I have not been paid back yet!

Here it's called Hell night or Gate night.

Worst I've ever done is TP or Eggs. Not maliciously either just good fun, done to friends.Always help them clean it and eggs are only thrown at each other never property.

In high school we (the entire soccer team) did used to go around collecting\stealing peoples pumpkins and then put them all in the coachs front yard. I think we got something like 300 one year. He was never impressed. Thats about it.

              Halloween

We used to have egg fights within our neighborhood, I guess toss a few at cars. I never egged anyones house. The toilet paper thing i never felt was right. Even smashing kids pumpkins wasnt for me. We did have shaving cream fights alot. Many people would try to smash my friends cool pumpkins, we once caught those teens and taught them a true lesson.

Halloween is awesome though! My kids love it. When we moved from Long Island NY to the Las Vegas desert we figured Halloween would suck here, but actually its huge here! More kids are into Halloween here then so Long Island!

My 6 year old is going as - Black Spiderman and my 4 year old daughter Batgirl, photos will be up on Halloween!!

We call it Devil's Night up here. One time, my friends and I rode around on our bikes and egged cars, but that was the only time I did something dumb like that. As far as being a victim on Devil's Night, once in a while I find a smashed pumpkin (not ours) at the end of our driveway. Luckily that's it so far.

I grew up in California. We had nothing like this. In fact, I didn't know such a thing existed until I was much older....

The whole thing is pretty much ignored here in the UK. I don't know anyone who treats it any diffrent to any other day.

Isn't it something to do with witchcraft? All hallows eve or something like that. Have we got anyone here from Salem, i'm sure they would know.
