    Just checking in

I haven't had internet access where I've been staying so I wanted to say hi now that I have a chance. I came back to Canada for a week to stay with my wife and get away from the mold and other hell that was my home and city. For anyone unfamiliar, my area was hit by a 20 foot storm surge brought on by hurricane Ike. We had 47 inches of salt water inside the house, 56 inches on the outside and 6 feet in the road in front of my house. The water came within 3 inches of going over the roof in my Mustang parked inside the garage and 3 inches over the dash in my dads one ton truck parked in the driveway. I'm still boxing up action figures to send of for restoration when I get time. Most of my time has been in helping my family with their stuff and getting to mine when I can find the time.
Anyway I just wanted to give a heads up as to what I've been doing and to say hi to everybody.

Hurricane Ike hit in my home area too.....

I'm very sorry to heard about that..... I hope you have insurance for your classic and newer vehicles and house, etc.... I'm glad you and your families are fine. The Hurricane Ike hit my home too but, lucky no damaged. I got home early after Hurricane and stayed my home in 4 days without power, I have some of candles, batteries for the lanterns and flashlights, 48 packs of bottle water, some canned foods, chips and reading new magazines at nights. My mother don't have power in 2 weeks, poor MOM!!! so, I helped her what she needs help, my mother and I have cell phones with power cord plugged into cigarette lighter in the vehicles to charging it up daily, so my mother and I can be in touch often. I cleaned up in her back yard that had been damaged also but her house is fine the bottom of shirt had curve dents (the wind had blew the bottom shirts hard), I fixed all by myself in 2 days, hard work in my yard too.... on the front roof have been some damaged, the covers peeled off and some roof have slight bad warp shape... My Mobile Home insurance don't paying for that, I have already paying for insurance for my Moble Home!!! Anway, I'll try to fixing my roof....... The plastic Shed's roof had been flew off and damaged the slide brackets, very difficult to fixing it. I took many pics of homes had been horrible damaged in my neighboorhoods.

                Click on those thumbnails...

                My Mobile Home pics:

I fixed up my shirts straighten up, looks good and the yard too...

My next door neighboor's Mobile Home have been damaged some on her shirts but her Mobil Home and yard is fine, her big shed fell down closer to her back yard of her Mobile Home. NOTE: my red 1984 GMC pick up Truck is parking on my driveway, not hers.

This pics is on the Campers and RV homes side... sadly, their's small homes are totaly damaged and one Camper turned upside down!!!

Thanks for all the well wishes, I appriciate them all. It's still a straight up hill battle esp dealing with Snake Farm about my Mustang when they offer me less for it than my paint job cost. Within the city limits there are 3,500 homes, all were flooded but 14. I'm thankful for the 5% of my belongings that I could salvage, some had even less to look forward to. I know it can't help but getting better from here on out.

Also, my dad gave me his '90 T-bird SuperCoupe. It's a sweet all options car, but we blew a head gaskit on the way back from the airport a few weeks ago. We're going to have the longblock rebuilt and currently looking for some headers for it.
