    High School Class Reunions

Ok. My 20th class reunion was this year and I wasn't the least bit interested in going. I may go to the 25th, if we have one, we'll see.
Given many of our ages on here, lots of us are in the neighborhood of our 20th or 25th class reunion.
Anybody going, not going. Why not?? How did it turn out?? Any surprises or exciting stories?? Was it just like you expected?? Do ever want to see any of them again?? Was your high school sweetheart what you wanted her to be or not? Did you beat up that bully who picked on you? Did you pick on that loser again??

I went to my 10th last year. Still a young buck, but man where the girls still in great shape. It was a blast to see how well some had done for themselves.I had lot of fun,and drank a lot with the old gang.Hopefully all will make it to the 20th.It was a last minute thing for me.I was hesitating and was the last one to show up at midnight.

You are Alabama, so the age of people at their 20 year reunions is around 28, because no one in Bama made it past the 3rd grade (some took four tries to pass it)!!!!

Sorry, couldn't resist!!! Just fun poking!!!

I went to my 10th and 20th, but many of the people I graduated with, I had went to school with since kindergarden.

Skipped the five year. Went to the ten but everyone was just fatter and with cell phones. My twentieth is coming up in 2010 and I'd really like to go to that one. Having moved to Florida I do miss my old high school buddies and try and make it up to MD at least once a year to see them and always try and get them to come visit. Florida makes it very easy to convince them to come see me.

My 10th will be next year baby!! Hell yeah i'm going

I married my High school sweetheart, and my best friends in High school are still my 2 best friends now

My 2 friends were the dorky type, one was a computer geek and the other was the weird rocker that some use to pick on

I was the jock type that no one messed with ,I played football and was the Captain of my JROTC Raider team

I can't wait to see all my old buddies

I skipped my 20. If I could, I'd go to the reunion for the class before me. 95% of my real High School buddies were a year ahead of me, so that's the class I'd be most interested in seeing. From my class I still see the couple people I'm interested in seeing every now and again, so that is enough for me.

My 25th is in 2010...I have never attended any and don't really plan too...there's not anyone that I'm dying to see quite frankly.

Oddly enough, my 15 year reunion was tonight. It's going on as I type this. My wife and I graduated together, and we both decided we'd rather spend $80 elsewhere ($40 a piece). Plus we didn't even get any kind of notice about it until a month ago, and an official invite only came 2 weeks ago. For those unlike us who don't still live in town or anywhere near here, that's not enough time to make plans, esp. if you have kids or weekend job commitments.

I went to the 5th, and skipped the 10th too. Honestly, the folks I want to keep in touch with, I have. And those I'd like to see again probably won't go anyway. It's mostly the "preps" of our class that show up to these things. I pretty much got along with everyone in my class, but that doesn't mean I want to drop money to spend time with them again.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed my 20th. I blew off my tenth and only went to the 20th at my best friend's insistence. I loved seeing all these people, many of whom I had totally forgotten. It was amazing to see what everyone had become--lots of suprises. I really had a blast. In my memory, I didn't enjoy high school and wasn't that popular, but I was looking at things negatively as usual, because I was warmly and fondly remembered by a lot of people. It was kind of eye-opening, actually.

My class (1985) didn't have a 5-year reunion although there were rumors abound about having one and we even discussed it in our senior year. I wanted to go to the 10th but I was in the Mojave desert training at Ft. Irwin. When I finally became an online presence in 1999 I "met" up with some old friends and found out that at the 10-year it was going around that I was dead, that I died during the Persian Gulf War. I let them know that wasn't the case and even posted at Classmates.com (before they started charging for their service). We started making plans to meet up but things didn't work out for one thing or another.

I got an invite to my 20th and it was $100 per person for the event but there was also a day before cocktail party for $50 per person and a Sunday beach party for another high dollar amount. I considered going to the 20th just to see the "old gang" but I really had no idea who from the "old gang" would actually be there. And truth be told, after all those years I really didn't care anymore.

I doubt that I'll make it to the 25th.

Skipped my 10th, Never heard about a 20th. Was going to go to the 25th next week, but lack of interest caused it to be scrapped.

I went to my 20th in 2006, and am really glad I did. I wasn't exactly a popular kid in school, so it was kind of cathartic to go and see what a level playing field had made of everyone's lives. Most everyone had turned out well and I was able to reconnect with some old friends and actually make some new ones. I wouldn't trade the experience for anything.
