The films are due to be sold seperately "but" they are only going to be released as Blu-Rays so anyone w/o a Blu-Ray player is SOL because they won't be able to purchase and view the original cut of CONQUEST.

It's about freakin' time! I have the older DVD letterbox set and it's disappointing to watch now since it's not widescreen enhances and I have to use the zoom feature to fill the TV which makes it look bad. To get these in HD finally, is just so cool!

16:9 enhanced upgrades of the Apes movies have been out for a couple years. Same with the extended Battle cut. The big news for this set is the new cut of Conquest but since I don't have Blu-Ray yet, I will have to wait until they decide to put it out on DVD.

They are not separate cases they are one large case with a great 200-page book.

Make sure your mom realizes there is two versions of the original show out there. The original and the remastered versions with new effects. If you want the original versions without the new effects the picture you posted represents the look of the set you want. The remastered versions look like this:



With that final third season coming in December. So make sure your mom is not confused with which version you want.
