Greatest American Hero....make the movie already.

I wonder if they could make Soul Train into a movie....I loved that show...I'm sure Will Ferrell would be involved somehow.

Time Tunnel - it suffered a lot from cheesy effects and grainy stock footage - done right, it could really be great. You can't have enough time travel movies to suit me!

Hawaii 5-0. I mean if they can try re-doing Kojack, why not this? Throw in a Dog the Bounty Hunter cameo if they want.

              >I'd say the Prisoner, but I think that's happening already

This is the only one I'd say as well, but that's 'cos I heard McGoohan himself wanted to head it up. I wouldn't trust anyone else with ANY of it! (We'd end up with another "Nowhere Man." *shudder*)

              >A new Welcome Back Kotter may actually work. I'm surprised no one had done that yet.

Well.... it sort of gets done; in one way or another, every few years. "To Sir With Love," "Teachers," "School of Rock," "Dead Poet's Society," "Freedom Writers." If you want to go WAY back before the series there were a ton of this sort of story made in the 50's. And some of them were INTENTIONALLY funny.

              >After Dark Knight's success...I'm afraid that's never gonna happen.

As the pendulum swings, it'll happen. Sooner or later. The formula works, but only for so long. You just need sustained backlash against the dark, gritty Bats. And you can already see little sniglets of it. Look how many people HERE pine for the good ol' days, of the REAL heroic Batman. When it was safe for kids to read. Eventually DC will get around to a more lighthearted superhero, it'll take off ('cos it's the parents you market to with that sort of thing. They got the money....) and EVERYTHING will go that route.

              "Lego Batman: The Movie."

I really loved the TV series American Gothic (created and produced by Shaun Cassidy). I would really like to see what happened to Sheriff Buck, and the town of Trinity.
