Wow...amazing how times have changed. I remember in the 1970s how free people were with cigarettes (my dad was a smoker)...buying them out of vending machines and smoking in office buildings and things....selling "candy" cigarettes.... but nowadays it seems crazy!
I wonder if people during the era of that flintstones commercial though "This isn't that bad for me....its got a filter!!!" That's the thought I had watching the first commerical. Crazy!"God has put definite limits on the heights of man's wisdom, but no limits to the depths of his stupidity" -
Funny that reminds me of an old cigarette commercial that Jed and Granny charactes from the Beverly HIllbillys did.Comment

Those are great.
I can remember when I was a kid my uncle giving me money to go buy him cigarettes at the store.
Think B.A. Where did you hide the Megos?Comment

Virginia Slims, Menthol.
That's what my mom used to have me pick up at the Wa Wa convenience store. That was fine by me, because I always grabbed some Garbace Can Candy or a pack of Wacky Packages while I was there
BTW, I recognize the voice of Fred from a billion other Hanna Barbera cartoons. I wonder why they switched. Admittedly, I am so used to Alan Reed, I can't imagine anyone else as Fred Flinstone now.WANTED - Solid-Boxed WGSH's, C.8 or better.Comment
