The fight is worth it. Live it one day at a time. 16 years is to be applauded but if you have only one day rejoice and get another one tomorrow. Let people know. The people you love will not stop loving you when you fall, rather they will come along side you. Let them. My mom passed last week after nearly 50 years of fighting alcoholism.

I tell ya, I don't miss it.

every time I get a craving for a cigarette, I also think about waking up and coughing uncontrollably for 20 minutes straight, and that puts me right.

I really wish I had never started, it's really ruined some of my best years, at least physically.....trying to get back in shape isn't easy when your body no longer processes oxygen the way it used to.
