American Econmy Skips Toilet, Heads Straight to Cesspool

Wow...so THIS is what my grandparents were talking about all those years...
The start of it anyway. The good news is, the US Economy is so large that we pretty much take everybody on the planet down with us when we fall. How is that good news? You have to really really WANT to see it...

Yeah go grab your football pads and compound bows and prepare to go all Mad Max road warrior in the next few years.

I really want to see them make the filthy rich pay this one off. We have been hearing "spare the rich and prosperity will trickle down " bull**** since the first great depression. It hasnt worked yet.

Walmart owners are worth 20 Billion each and the workers of the largest company in America barely exist over the poverty level.

How many millionaire CEOs closed American plants and moved them to 3rd world countries to line their pockets a little more? Wonder why people cant afford their mortgages? And the over seas workers get paid pennies on the dollar with no benefits hurting them as much as us.

How about a war debt at 1 Trillion dollars? the only people benefiting from the war are those who own stock in Haliburten, KBR and Black Water oh yeah they are the ones who started and are prolonging the war.

Time to eat the rich I say

I can work a tank and use a machine gun. YOU GUYS are on your own!

          >I really want to see them make the filthy rich pay this one off.

          You're not the only one!

It's sad that we've discovered the exact magic mix of greed and stupidity to tank the system. So.... you're gonna give loans to folks who can't really afford to pay 'em back, and slowly charge them MORE?!?!? And the folks are gonna go for this?!?!?!

Anyone seen "Idiocracy?" You are NOW.

I think it likely they will get the votes they need by the end of this week or they will float a better plan to be approved next week. I agree the rich have just got richer and the poor have been sadled with the burden but things are potentially so bad, great depression bad, that regulations will be put in place to fix it. Then years will go by and politicians forget why we have regulations again and remove the to satisfy their greed and it will happen all over again.

I love it. Did Obi Wan lie gets pages and pages of long in depth posts.

Current events based on our countries economic collapse HA.

Why does that not surprise me. Guess thats one of the reasons we are in the situation in the first place.

I've been jumpy at work for a few weeks, they've laid off a few people and done away with several positions. It usually happens at the end of the fiscal year which was today, and no pink slip for me. Whewww.

I know we're not supposed to talk politics or religion... but I think we're all praying real hard (even the atheists) right now that the U.S. gov't (I don't like to call them "leaders") will do something!

Personally I'd like to see a "Rich" tax imposed on people in the multi million and up income bracket.

A few folks at work jokingly said the Gov should give everybody a million dollars stimulus check.

My thing is americans NEVER question or do anything when the outrageous happen.

                        1. We had been paying a tax on our phone lines every month for the past 100 plus years to pay off the spanish american war. The Gov admitted this and bought us off. Anybody ask who got the money? Did the phone company keep it? The Gov?

                        2. In the 70s it was exposed that the military was buying Hygenic sanitary o rings (Toilet seats) for $800 and hammers for $300. No public outrage. Its a joke now. The men in Black got it. It supported area 51.

                        3. In the 80s it broke that since the 50s the military had conducted experiments on American civilians without consent. People with poor prognosis with no family had different radioactive isotopes injected in different parts of their bodies. Surprise.. some got better or had family pop out of nowhere and claim them. The gov followed these people well into the 80s taking their Dr med records and intercepting the bodies when they died and cremating them. The government admitted this. At the time they also admitted to releasing radioactive steam from reactors in the pacific northwest to track its effects. Exposing several towns. The story disappeared. A few years later on the back page Clinton "Officially appologized" to the last few survivors of this.

Wheres the outrage? Who signed the order for this?

Our appathy has given them the right to do what ever they want to us.

I think a bailout is wrong. Who next, GMC, Ebay, Disney? Now all of these huge corporations can run their companies into the ground and get bailed out? It would never happen to the little guy. BTW I don't think this is political but unlike James (a guy I like a lot and respect a lot) I don't think government intervention is the answer.
