Aside from the obvious cosmetics...why else did you restore?

I've been working on my 64 1/2 for two years now..I went for a bit more of a restomod look...I put all kinds of different things to it...new suspension, new leaf springs, Magnaflows, fog lights, etc...now I only need a paint and a stereo.

Nice to see a fellow Pony lover in the house!

I love that color...what kinda red is it?

Looks like kind of a burgundy.

How much the paint cost you...and what kinda paint is it?

          Some many questions, lol.

You might want to consider installing a Monte Carlo bar for more engine compartment stability.

How's the cowl vent on your Pony?

My cowl vent is a bit rusted in the inside (the rest of the car is rust free though)...I cover it with a cowl vent cover during the rainy season or when I wash the car.

Hey Hector is was a hulk. Total rotissire job. New sheet metal where needed front suspension, new brakes , master cyl, wheel cyls, hydro lines, flex lines, gas tank rebuild trans and rear end, bebuild motor, alot of chrome ect. It is a maroon I can't think of the cdoe off hand. We did most of the body work and my guy charge me $1000 to get anything big I missed and spray it. Only one screwup and it's a rum just above the rocker panel.

I cut it out and replaced it. It was shot.

I gotta replace my cowl vent too...I don't like the idea of having some rust, especially inside the cowl vent.

I hear it's a real major task though.

Big time. It was like 110 welds to undo.

Yo Zemo...since your ride is beautifully restored with an original stock look...did you went with stock mufflers...or did you go a little crazy on the exhausts?

This is my ride with Magnaflows...

YouTube - Mustang 1964 1/2 with Magnaflow exhausts

                          And that's without headers...lol.

P.S. Forgive my finger flip at the end of the video...it's not intended at you.

looks great! Def throw some color on there. Don't waste your money on a real high priced job. just a nice decent driver job. DO have them shoot the trunk and underside of the hood.

I have one pony to finish, it's really done just needs to go to paint. But the carb has ****ed me off for the last three days. That one has factory air. Then I'm doin one for me. As soon as i get the ponys out of the shop, the 69 Mach 1 is rolling in. Has the 429 block too!

THose are nice! I went with the stock Duel setup. Tried to make it look like it did when it rolled out in 66. But I am by know means a purest. THe Mach 1 is going to be crazy.
