I have been cursed my Migraines since the summer of 1997. Mine are atypical
and I experience slightly different syptoms. Mine are extremely painful.

Around 2000 I saw a doctor who put me on DEPAKOTE to help prevent getting
migraines. It's worked wonders but I still occasionally get them but the severity, and duration are lessened.

Depakote has other uses as well. Consult your physician. You have nothing to loose by asking. Unfortunetly Depakote promotes weight gain but I considered it a fair trade.

Have yourself checked for high blood pressure. A KEY factor in migraines.

Are you around floresent blubs? They emit a wavelength that triggers migraines and also contain mercury. These can be the single 2" to 4" or the short curly bulbs. You know, the ones that everyone going green is shovin' down our throats.

I used to get them from my teens to early twenties. The one thing I found that triggered them was banana milkshake. I never pinned anything else down but did generally avoid the usual suspects of citrus fruits, chocolate and cheese.
The only remedy I found that kept them at bay were feverfew herbal tablets. My mum had done some reading and found out about them. I took one 500mg tablet a day and slowly the migranes stopped. I was pretty sure they had an effect because on one occasion I lowered the dose to 200mg tablets and the migranes returned. Eventually I took the plunge and stopped taking them and whether my age had an effect I don't know but I haven't had one since.
