    Human milk for ice cream??

PETA Urges Ben Jerry's To Use Human Milk - News Story - WNBC | New York

I'd never try the ice cream but would pay to see how they get the milk!

Seriously though, I've seen documentaries about how they milk cows these days and the cows look pretty happy, making this idea that much more nuttier.

Lo there do I see my Father.
Lo there do I see my Mother and my Sisters and my Brothers.
Lo there do I see the line of my people back to the begining.
    Lo they do call me.
They bid me take my place among them.

Of course they're happy...imagine someone taking good care of you
      and milking YOU everyday.

      That's the life!

OK, they can't really think this makes sense. Cows, who are bigger, and don't need every ounce of milk to feed calves, and women who are smaller, who really do need their milk for their young. DUH! They talk about giving cows a break, what about women? There is no conceivable way that people can provide the volume of milk that humans consume. And since people have been drinking milk for a LONG time, before hormones and additives were put into their feed, when they just grazed and farmers fed their families and community, I really doubt that it causes all that stuff they say it causes. (to say nothing of what people are consuming in the way of additives, new drugs, the pollution in the air, etc.)

This is yet another example of how the human race is rapidly becoming stuck on stupidity.

Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

Isn't Pam Anderson a huge PETA supporter? What more can be said about PETA?

I truly believe that we do need to treat animals in a more ethical and humane way, but I really don't have much time for the average PETA member. It's like they've all got unresolved issues from seeing Bambi at too young and tender an age.

I have been a supporter of wildlife organizations since I was a kid.

I have volunteered in numerous animal shelters, zoos, and have been financially contributing to the World Wildlife Fund for almost thirty years. I'm also a current member of Defenders of Wildlife. I've also taken zoology college course in the past. I'm just amazed I didn't become a Zoologist, lol.

Having said all that...I HATE PETA with a passion...it's nothing more than a cult full of hypocrites. Their cult leader, Ingrid Newkirk, is a wacko of the first degree...don't buy a bloody thing she preaches...I'm not the only one saying this, various animal rights organizations say the same thing about her and PETA as a whole. For one thing...PETA itself has euthanized thousands of animals themselves...this from an organization that supposedly is even against stepping on a bloody cockroach...give me a friggin' brake.

You guys know supposedly PETA is against animal testing, right?

PETA Senior Vice President MaryBeth Sweetland on her use of insulin, which was tested on animals:

"I'm an insulin-dependent diabetic. Twice a day I take synthetically manufactured insulin that still contains some animal products -- and I have no qualms about it ... I'm not going to take the chance of killing myself by not taking insulin. I don't see myself as a hypocrite. I need my life to fight for the rights of animals."
                            --Glamour, January 1990

Sorry MaryBeth...how convenient...but you can't have it both ways, honey.

Support other animal rights organizations...but don't support PETA.
