    I'm OLD!!!!!

I turned 40 last month and really didn't think much about it until today:

I went and got the mail today and what did I find? A member application and a membership card to:

    AARP

Luckily I didn't fall and break a hip on the way back from the mailbox.

There's a website for "senior citizens", for people of over 50.

My wife wrote a furious e-mail to the webmaster!

That's nothing. I started getting e-mails from AARP to join when I was 35. Two years later and I'm getting senior discounts at restaurants. And I don't even look old.

I'm 42 and still haven't got mine. I really want my discount at Country Kitchen Buffet.

I got a invite to join AARP on my 42nd birthday. It went in the trash.

If you want to feel really old, bear in mind that, when All in the Family started, Carroll O'Connor was 46 years old.

Dang, I gotta wait 6 years for the AARP? Well, that'll be OK. My kids will be grown by then, so we don't have to take them out to the Furr's Cafeteria with us.

I was sent a membership when I was 31. I had a lot of fun kiddy the mother of a girl, that I went to school with, that work at the post office about her true age if they thought I was 50.
