In school, we used to go outside and collect fall leaves ......
We'd bring them in class and iron them between wax paper in art.
It was pretty neat.

Do kids still do that today ?

My favorite season too. I love all things fall. Leaves, pumpkins, Halloween, Thanksgiving. Breaking out my denim jacket.

To this day the smell of a iron going over wax paper is still one of my favorite smells.

I read on the internet that the term "Fall" is only used by American's (includes Canada)

The rest of the English speak world uses the word "Autumn" to descibe this time of year.

Is that true ?

Yeah Mikey. . .pretty sure that is true. When we learnt about the seasons growing up it was always "and of course the Americans call the Autumn, the Fall". Never heard of anywhere else use the term. . . but I am only one man, and am frequently wrong!

Happy Fall (Autumn!) I'm ready for the leaves falling, cooler weather, apple chips, pumpkins, Halloween, Thanksgiving. I've been going in Walgreen's and scoping the Halloween stuff! In fact, I scared a little kid b/c I was trying out all the things that make spooky sounds.

And BTW...we do the wax paper (parchment paper) thing, but we use shaved crayons in autumn colors.
