iTunes 8.0 WARNING

If you have not upgraded your iTunes to Version 8, then DO NOT UPGRADE.

I upgraded my itunes to 8.0 and now when I put a blank DVD in my DVD burner, my Vista PC freezes. I visited the Apple support Forum, and the DVD issue is just the tip of the iceberg with problems associated with version 8.0

wow thanx man,I hadn't had a chance to do mine since I got a virus and lost everything,I haven't done it cause I didn't want to have to re download all the songs and movies

sometimes i want to go way back in time to when upgrades didn't cause problems. . . . 1983?????!!!! LOL

I did a Mac upgrade a few weeks ago that messed me up so bad I had to wipe everything clean and start from scratch. Thank goodness the data was backed up. I'm making a disk image of my system as it is before I ever upgrade again so I can go back to when it worked if needed.

I feel like such a chump when upgrade problems happen to me...
(Why oh why wasn't I happy with what I had?!?)

I had a gut feeling that avoiding i-tunes altogether would be a good choice.

I have just downloaded I tunes 8 too and now my Microsoft Word is messed. Are they connected in some way?

doubtful. There have been issues with usb and cd/dvd drivers

Thanks for the heads up. I tried to do this over the weekend, but the upgrade didn't take. Maybe I'll wait.

I would hope that Apple software would work on an Apple!

The animosity between Apple and Microsoft on the other hand wouldn't surprise me if one or the other has built in bugs to discourage use of the competitors product!
