bunch of old TV guides

My family has a storage room that we rent and for some reason we have a box full of TV guides from I think the late eighties that rather than being thrown away got stored away. These are not special issues or anything, just a misplaced box. Is there any value in these? Not necessarily money-wise, since I've seen what is on ebay and it seems like more work than money can be made, but does anyone think I am ruining anyone's holy grail by taking them to the dump to make room?

Any cover with a show in its premier maybe worth a few dollars, or a dead actor on the cover, thats about it.

The Reeves is awesome!! but that one's a reissue that's probably why it didn't sell

If there really was one, I'll look for it. This was a pretty big box and I just can't figure out why a few years worth got collected in it, unless it was some sort of paper drive or eventual recycling that my mom was doing and the box just got mixed up. Anyway, I didn't really look that close to say what exact years were there, but if I get a chance this weekend I'll look.

I have a close friend who collects TV Guides. He has all of them, including Lucy and Superman except about a dozen issues from the late 50's and some of the multiple sports covers (NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB).

You'd actually be surprise what some of them go for.

I know he has 1000's of dupes and I can check and see if he has a duplicate of the Warrior one. If you know the issue date that would help.
