I was always a Little House on the Prairie kid, and used to get in bloody brawls with this other kid who was always spoutin' off about how great the Waltons were. Ain't nobody talkin' trash about Mary Ingalls around me and gettin' away with it..Comment

I refused to watch the Waltons because I hated John Boy...Those who look outside dream. Those who look within awake.
Samples of my work are found here: Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness
To do list:
1:6 boots for Mathilda, 1:1 Romulan Commander outfit, Ursus helmet; Cornelius appliance
1:9 scale ape's new suit for Cornelius;Comment

I never really watched it as a kid, (though I may have seen parts of an ep), but I did see the previews and of course got the catchphrase "G'night John Boy". But I've watched it in syndication, and now on the Hallmark channel sometimes. I like the eps best when the kids were little."Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."Comment

You need to see the episode called "the Deed" where John boy ventures to the big city of Wheeling (well, I guess in 1932 it was still on the map beyond Columbus).
Also, "the Conflict" where their hillbillie cousins are forced from the mountain they cleared and owned since 1865 so the highway department can put 4 lanes of cement through their garden and their logged cabin.
Nice to poke fun at such a show where an artistically talented family lives in a rural area where the big news of the day is about a chicken theif or a turkey shoot but very historically accurate and won grammies and based on real life events that occurred in the life of a former twilight zone among others tv writer in NY, who now lives in CA
Doesn't hold a candle to nice family oriented shows like SVU, Desperate Housewives, or Will and Grace.Comment

I used to watch the Waltons as a kid but I was always disappointed that they never carried guns like the guys on bonanza did...LOL
The show had so much potential.“When you say “It’s hard”, it actually means “I’m not strong enough to fight for it”. Stop saying its hard. Think positive!”Comment
