20 year veteran graphic designer/art director with a Bachelors of Science in graphic design. Always admired IT and studied it as a hobby. As of June 1, I'm part of the IT dept of Orrick, Herrington, & Sutcliffe, LLP. Still love graphic design but the field has dried up a bit for me locally. Think I'll free lance in the field, if not as an illustrator once I get settled in my new career.
I have lots to learn because there's lots out there to learn.
Changed jobs a few years ago so for the last 3 years I've been a maintenance/service man for the city repairing and maintaining the chemical equipment and spray trucks.
Best career move ever. The money is sweet and I get to drive all over the city to fix things outdoors.I'll never go back to a desk job ever!!!
“When you say “It’s hard”, it actually means “I’m not strong enough to fight for it”. Stop saying its hard. Think positive!”

"Steel-like jaws clacked away, each bite slashing flesh from my body - I used my knife and my hands, and when they were gone, my bloody stumps - and yet the turtles came."
When I was an electrician for ten years before I got the job I have now, I thought about going back to school for HVAC and starting my own part time business. There is a ton of money to be made in south Louisiana in the field of HVAC.
