Don't worry, this is a non religious church thread.
So my family and I attended church this morning at the small country church that is about 1/4 mile away from our house. It was so nice out, we decided to walk. Now we don't attend this church very often, and in fact we haven't been there since Dani (our 9-month old daughter) was born. So everyone was oohing and aweing over her before service started, and told us they were glad to see us again. Most of these people live near our house, so we bump into them from time to time.
After the services, my son Andrew went downstairs to use the restroom. I was waiting on him when I looked down the stairs and saw his feet running around in the rec room down stairs. I immediately went into strict Daddy mode and was prepared to give him a stern talking to about how to behave in church. When I made it down the stairs I heard him say "I gotta go find my mom and dad" and he was scurrying out from behind a table. Before I had the chance to launch into my tirade I noticed something else. Another family member was downstairs. Our dog, Buggaloo!!! She had walked up the road with us to church and had apparently waited outside for us the whole time. At some point, the wind blew the doors open (which it is apt to do there) and she snuck in! Andrew had found her downstairs and tried to catch her. He even kept her in the bathroom with him for a few minutes! I was totally mortified, but kept my cool and calmly called for Bugga to follow me upstairs and out of the church. I apologized profusely, but everyone there was really cool about it. Bugga is a medium-sized beagle/black and tan hound mix, and weighs about 80 lbs, so she's not tiny. Of course everyone was wondering who this dog belonged to, and we had to fess up. And since we had a new baby with us, everyone knew we were there anyway. Again, everyone was really cool, but I embarrass really easily, and this certianly made me turn red. Needless to say, its something we won't soon forget!
