What a nice thought Hector. It's hard to believe this is the first post about it today. God bless America and all those who perished on that terrible day.
I still remember 9-11 like it just happened yesterday.
I was at my post office in line waiting to mail a Mego to Blue Meanie, then I noticed everyone at the PO watching the overhead televison... I thought they were looking at a smoking chimney ... It took me a few moments to realize it was the WTC.
Shocking doesn't even descibe it.
By the time I got home, I noticed the second tower got hit ....
More than shocking..
My nephew worked around there (not in the WTC), so we were all trying to call him and stuff.
We didn't hear from him until he called us a few hours later.
He tried over and over, but the phones were all tied up.
Later that night, we on Mego Museum were all talking about it and hoping everyone was ok.
That was an emotional day for us up here in Canada as well. So unbelievable. I was asleep with my oldest and my wife woke me up, tears streaming down her face and totally in shock to tell me what was going on. I tried to call several folks in NY and some other of my US brothers to no avail. All we could do was watch in horror. NY really pulled together as did many people from around the US and Canada and it was awe inspiring to see after such a tragic thing. Kudos to all who helped and my thoughts to all the people affected.
Strangely, we were at the hospital all day today as my wife was having her gall bladder removed and I didn't even clue in. Thanks for the post Hector.
