Another fun thing about In N Out is that it has a secret menu...meaning you can go all out in customizing burger and even fries...but it's not listed in the regular public menu...

          Best chain burger BY FAR.

They are a chain BUT NOT A FRANCHISE. They are privately owned by the same family. I'm sure they have had MANY MANY offers for a buy out, but I'm glad they have not gone that way. I guarantee if they go public or are bought out by a larger fast food company their quality and customer service will go down the tubes.

And yes, that no nonsense menu is THE BEST.

Looks good!!! It would be great if it branched here in San Antonio,TX. I'm tired of the same O'burger. Carl's Jr has made a comeback here after 20 some years, and still up on construction.

Ever single time I went there they were crowded. Didn't matter what time if day it was either. Man, I miss those.

In N Out is awesome. They are smart to have a very simple menu that they carry out very well.

For the same quality and style, if you are ever in New Mexico, do yourself a favor and get a double green chile cheeseburger at Blake's Lotaburger. It's the first thing I get whenever I go home to NM.

My son and wife's favorite burger chain -- problem is, we live in Missouri. We discovered them on a trip to San Diego three years ago, and haven't been able to get them again until last month, when we went to Arizona to visit the in-laws.

Wish they'd open one here in St. Louis . . .

Never heard of them until this thread. Looks good but can't help but laugh at the name...makes me think of a bad joke.

If I want a really good burger, I just make it at home. Like Eddie Murphy said "It's better than McDonald's" and in this case, it really is.
