I can't wait 'til I can get my hands on the new album. I've been a true Metallica fan through think and thin, both with long and short hair.

Gonna take a long time to wash the stink of St. Anger off. It's been going downhill since they brought in Bob Rock. Everything up to the black album is Metallica.

I'm still not buying this album until after I hear every song at least a few times. Unless they want to give me a refund on St. Anger.

I've been one of the biggest skeptics towards them for a while now, and as others have stated, "St. Anger" did nothing to help that.

But.....I've heard the new one......I love it. That's all I'm gonna say for now

No Matter waht Kinda BS They put out as far as "New Recordings" go,.. It doesn't change the fact that they are still one of the Best Live Bands That I have ever saw. My 1st Time was in 89,.. & Yes I was at the Seattle Show in the Box Set they had come out sometime ago. It was the 1st Concert I have ever Scene. I have Scene Metallica about 6or7 Times Since. & Hope to go see them when they come here in December 1st.

I don't kow. Sounds like they're trying too hard to sound like old Metallica and can't quite do it. They need those monster chunking riffs. I just don't hear what made them my favorite band in these songs.

It's funny because that was what I was kind of expecting to hear and think about it, but in fact this feels more natural to me. "St. Anger" felt extremely forced and awkward, whereas this feels like what I'd have originally expected Metallica to sound like now. Obviously they're never gonna have that "Master" sound to them again, but that's ok really. This new album sounds like "And Justice For All" meets "Black Album" and "Load", in a way. I realise it won't work for everyone, but it works for me I'm not really judging it against what they've done in the past, just enjoying it for what it is.

Been listening to these new songs for a couple of days now and I must admit I like 'em. Sure, it's not like Kill 'em All, Ride the Lightening or Masters of Puppets, but that was 20 years ago. It's only natural they change, evolve, call it what you will. They never would've gotten to where they are now if every album had sounded the same. I'm buying the new album for sure
